This is my amazing dog Yogi.
He’s my golden retriever, best friend, and unofficial therapist - wrapped up in a fluffy, goofy body with very expressive eyebrows!
Yogi came into my life about 6 months after my first emergency hospital admission, during a time when my life had fallen apart and everything felt upside down. Since then, he’s been the most constant, comforting thing in my world. Whether I’m having seizures, struggling with fatigue, or just feeling completely overwhelmed, he’s always there—usually with a toy, a cuddle, or a very determined attempt to sit on me.
He hasn’t had official therapy dog training (yet), but that’s something we’re hoping to do. Because honestly, if five minutes with Yogi can brighten my day, I know he could do the same for other people too. He has this way of making things feel a little lighter—even on the worst days.
He’s kind, calm, totally ridiculous, and somehow always manages to find the comfiest pillow in the house. I genuinely don’t know how I’d have got through the last few years without him.
So yeah - this is Yogi. He’s not just a pet. He’s a big part of why I’m still here, still creating, and still smiling.
