Doodle monsters

Doodle Monster Graffiti at Leake Street

Following my first graffiti jam, I built up the confidence to try a monster doodle at Leake Street

Graffiti jam

A graffiti jam involves one person starting the art work and then other artists jump in and add to it. They all keep building on each other's creativity. I was very nervous but I learned so much from the incredible artists around me and I was so grateful to Marc Craig for organising it. As well as learning from different art styles, I learned that everyone gets nervous sometimes and that's ok. With graffiti, you can just paint over something and try again or make it into something else.

Developing my doodle monsters

Developing ideas and images

I didn't have a specific plan at the start. I just began with one, which I've since called Eyelo, and I tried to allow my creativity to flow as freely as possible.

Getting used to an audience

Leake Street is a very busy place underneath Waterloo station and I had to learn to get used to people stopping and taking photos.
