Hi, I’m Lani Wride. I’m an illustrator and graffiti artist who likes bold colour, strange little characters, and anything that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
This site is a place to show what I’ve been making—sometimes full of energy, sometimes more low-key. I work around a few chronic health conditions, so life and art don’t always move fast, but everything here is made with care (and usually some purple, pink and turquoise thrown in).
Over the past few years, life’s been completely flipped. Living with epilepsy and recovering from bacterial meningitis has meant a never-ending stream of hospital appointments, tests, and trying to piece everything back together. It’s been a lot—mentally, physically, and emotionally.
School didn’t exactly make things easier. I’ve had to push through while everything around me felt like it was falling apart, and honestly, it’s been tough. Trying to keep up while dealing with all that has been a challenge in itself. But I’ve kept going, even when it felt impossible.
Art has been the one thing that’s stayed mine. It’s chaotic in all the best ways, but it’s also something I can shape and control. When everything else is unpredictable, creating gives me space to breathe.
Thanks for being here and taking the time to look through my work.
